Owner’s Representative
About PM2 Consulting and This Role
PM2 Consulting represents owners through complex hospitality and commercial interior construction projects. As a small, specialized firm, our team members have meaningful visibility, responsibility, and impact. This role is ideal for someone who wants to be close to the work, close to the client, and accountable for helping projects run with structure, urgency, and clear communication.
Position Summary
PM2 Consulting is seeking an Owner’s Representative to support hospitality and commercial interior fit-out projects from planning through closeout. This is an owner-side, client-facing role focused on project leadership, communication, budget and schedule oversight, risk identification, and practical problem-solving. You will coordinate project teams, monitor progress, and provide clear analysis and recommendations to help clients make informed decisions. The role does not perform construction work or make unilateral project decisions; client approval authority remains with the client.
Who Thrives in This Role
The right candidate combines technical construction knowledge with sound judgment, resourcefulness, persistence, and strong client-facing communication. You are comfortable working in a small, entrepreneurial firm where your follow-through, ability to anticipate issues, and willingness to push for answers directly influence project outcomes and client satisfaction.
You will be a strong fit if you:
- Take ownership of issues and follow them through to resolution.
- Balance technical details with clear, client-friendly communication.
- Stay organized and effective when priorities shift.
- Identify risks early and bring forward practical solutions.
- Hold project teams accountable while maintaining professionalism and trust.

- Monitor budgets, schedules, contingencies, milestones, and potential project impacts, and communicate updates clearly to the client.
- Identify risks, delays, conflicts, and cost impacts early and recommend practical options for resolution.
Documentation, Compliance & Closeout Support
- Maintain organized project documentation, reports, correspondence, decision records, and client updates.
- Support clients with permitting, inspections, agency coordination, general conformance monitoring, and project closeout requirements.
Qualifications
- 5–7 years of experience in construction project management, owner’s representation, or a related client-side project delivery role, preferably within hospitality and/or commercial interior fit-outs.
- Strong knowledge of project management fundamentals, construction means and methods, scheduling, budgeting, procurement, and contract administration.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and construction/project management software; experience with tools such as Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, Procore, or similar platforms is preferred.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements
- Travel to and attend project meetings and site visits at active construction projects located throughout New York City, generally 2-3 times per week, or as required by project needs
- Remain mobile in active construction environments, including walking on uneven surfaces, climbing stairs, traversing temporary walkways, and working in outdoor conditions to conduct during site visits
- Perform office and remote work activities, including computer use, document review, virtual meetings, phone calls, and written communication via email.
Compensation
- Salary Range: $125,000 to $160,000 annually, final compensation will reflect relevant experience, technical qualifications, project management experience, and client-facing owner-side experience
